If you need to replace a lost piece from your Medela Pump In Style Breast Pump, or just want additional supplies, we can provide that for you. All the following parts are usually available for purchase:
The newer models of the Pump In Style Breast Pumps come with the PersonalFit Breastshields and PersonalFit Connectors. Replacement PersonalFit Breastshields and Connectors can be purchased in pairs. Older model Pump In Style Breast Pumps came with old style one piece standard breastshields. These are still available for purchase, but are purchased individually rather than in pairs. Some women also like to use the small breastshield inserts which fit inside the standard breastshield. Whether you choose to use those or not is simply a matter of personal comfort. Newer pumps contain the new two piece medium size PersonalFit Breastshields, but they are available in five sizes. More information about all 5 sizes, along with the SoftFit breastshields is on the Breastshield Page.

All Pump In Style Breast Pumps puchased prior to Summer 2003 will have a front panel with a large circular diaphragm cap, that seals like a Tupperware dish. It is the part that you hook the tubes onto. Even though the new pumps do not have this same diaphragm cap set up, these parts will contime to be available for purchase. If your pump has this type of diaphragm cap you must replace it with the same part. It cannot be switched out to the new style face plate.
Starting in Summer 2003 Medela has changed the diaphragm cap to be the same as the Pump In Style Traveler and Pump In Style Companion Breast Pumps. It is purchased as a single unit. |

In order to power your pump you will need a transformer. If your pump suddenly stops working, it may be that you need to replace your transformer. If you find yourself in a situation where you do not have access to an electric outlet, you might also want to consider getting a vehicle lighter adapter or a battery pak.

The Medela Pump In Style Battery Pak can be used with the regular Pump In Style, the Companion Pump In Style, or the Traveler Pump In Style. It uses 8 AA alkaline or rechargeable batteries to provide up to 3 hours of pump use. The black microfiber carrying case fits inside the breastpump bag, or can be attached to the bag strap.

Three 5 1/2oz. cooling elements are used in the cooler compartment of the regular Pump In Style Breast Pump (up until the introduction of the new 2005 model)to keep breast milk cool. If your pump has a built in cooler compartment, these are the cooling elements to use - the cooler compartment can take three of the elements. Not designed for use with Medela Pump In Style 2005 Day Carrier Kit - it uses the contour cooling element below.

One Contour Cooling Element is supplied in the Day Carrier Kit of each new Medela Pump In Style Original (starting with the 2005 model) and each Advanced Pump In Style breast pump. Its contoured shape holds the bottles in place, and provides them with increased area touching the cooling element. However, it is heavy (it weighs over one pound) so it is too heavy to send by First Class Mail. |
