Medela Freestyle Breast Pump

The Medela Freestyle Breastpump was first introduced in 2008, and has become a tremendously popular breastpump. The Freestyle Breast Pump uses the Advanced pumping technology developed for the Symphony Breast Pump but in a more compact design, perfect for the active mom. The Freestyle motor unit is small and lightweight, and attaches to an adjustable belt (included with purchase), and can be used for single or double pumping. It runs on a rechargeable battery that allows for about 3 hours of pumping time per charge. The Freestyle breastpump has a memory button so mom can save her favorite pumping pattern. The Freestyle also has an LCD lighted display that can be used as a nightlight if pumping during nighttime hours. Supplied in a black tote bag with buttercream trim, the Freestyle purchase comes with regular breastpumping supplies, including: two breastshield units, tubing, and four collection bottles in a DayCarrier with a cooling element. In addition, this breast pump includes hands free pumping accessories to allow for true pumping mobility. The new bottle and diaphragm design prevents milk spilling into the tubes. Lots of new and useful features for the active mom! The pump is warrantied for one full year. Other parts have a limited warranty of 90 days.

The Medela Freestyle also incorporates a nice asset for travelers: the recharger will work on 110V -- 240V electricity, so it can be used when travelling overseas. The only additional item you would need is a regular travel adapter in order for it to fit into overseas outlets. The Freestyle will also work with the regular Medela 12V vehicle lighter adapter #67153 (not included with the pump). Recharger for Medela Freestyle Breastpump and Vehicle Lighter Adapter

	Recharger for Medela Freestyle Breastpump The Freestyle works on a rechargeable battery. Moms need to recharge the battery about once every five days but this, of course, depends on the amount the pump is used. The recharger will work with 110V for USA circuits, or 220V for UK circuits or European circuits. You will need an adapter in order to plug the recharger into an overseas electrical outlet, but you will not need a transformer. You just need to be able use an adapter with the different shaped prongs in order to access the outlet. USA model Medela Part #9207047	Medela is no longer distributing this part to their vendors. 	The Medela Vehicle Lighter Adapter can be used to power your Freestyle Breastpump using the cigarette lighter in your car. It is very easy to use -- just like an extension cord. One end plugs into your pump, and the other end plugs into your cigarette lighter. Note: This vehicle lighter adapter can also be used with the Medela Pump In Style Original Breastpump, or the Pump In Style Advanced Breastpump -- but only with models manufactured prior to 2008. How would you know if it will fit your Advanced Pump? Look on the faceplate where you plug in the AC adapter -- in very small print you will find the item number you need to use. The Medela Freestyle Breastpump comes with four collection bottles with lids. All Medela bottles have a universal thread and are completely interchangeable, as are the solid lids. Since March 2009 all new Medela products that include bottle nipples have contained the wide base nipple. For moms having another baby this nipple will look a little different. This nipple is softer than previous nipples and the shape better mimics the nursing experience for baby. Whether you are using the new wide base nipple with the wide base collar, or the older style nipple with old style collar, they will fit on any Medela bottle.

The The Breastmilk Transport Bag is designed fortransporting your expressed breastmilk. It is a roomy black bag with yellow PVC FREE lining and the yellow Medela logo on the front. The lid features a pocket on the top for a label, and an adjustable carry strap. It comes with eight 80ml sterile bottles, a cooling element, one Quick Clean Micro-steam bag, and a Pumping Log. The type of cooling element varies -- we have received some from Medela with the solid blue packs, and some with soft white packs. It can comfortably hold eight of the 5oz Medela bottles (instead of the 80cc bottles) with room for an extra cooling element or two! It measures approximately 11 x 6 x 7.5 in.
