Medela Swing Breastpump was introduced in 2006, and is the only single electric personal use pump with breakthrough 2-Phase Expression® technology for maximum milk flow. First researched and developed for hospital breastpumps, 2-Phase Expression is an advanced pumping pattern that mimics a baby’s natural nursing rhythm by pumping in two distinct modes.
Stimulation mode: To simulate your baby’s initial rapid sucking to start your milk flowing
Expression mode: To simulate your baby’s slower deeper sucks to express your milk gently and efficiently.
The Swing Breastpump uses the same pumping technology as the Advanced Pump In Style but in a smaller compact pump - but is still suitable for daily use. Adjustable speed and vacuum. The pump includes one breastshield, yellow valve and white membrane, tubing, 2 bottles and caps, 1 bottle stand, power cord, drawstring bag and shoulder strap. Can also use 4AA batteries to power the breastpump (batteries not included). Although the Swing pump can only be used for single side pumping it is a very efficient pump.

The Medela Swing Breastpump comes with two collection bottles with lids. All Medela bottles have a universal thread and are completely interchangeable, as are the solid lids. Medela bottles can also be used to feed the baby. Whether you are using the new wide base Medela bottle nipple with the wide base collar or the older style Medela bottle nipple with the old style collar they will fit on any Medela bottle.
